Let Me Be…

captivated far away

It is too much…

All of it…

Let me be still…

΅〜 ೋღ ღೋ     〜΅

I want to think my quiet thoughts…

Surround sound of silence…

Let comfort be my pillow…

Tranquility my blanket….

΅〜 〜΅

If words were my ocean…

let me dip my toes in the pool of serenity….

let them swirl about soothing me…

whisper intrigue…

as they entwine to form expression of emotion…

A thought…a feeling…a wish…

Sublime superfluity…

΅〜 ೋღ ღೋ     〜΅

They encircle me…

Filling me with wonder at their joining…

Fascination at their power…

Passionate asseveration…crystalline purity…

Let me be…

Just a little longer…

΅〜 〜΅

For If I am very still…

They come to me…

dance for me…bring me tears…delight…placidity…

a quixotic smile at their unique denouement…

  1. Wow! Loveeee this. When we let you be, you hide in your secret world of serenity and create such masterpieces. Is this what happens when you aren’t around for awhile? Creating your magic? ❤

  2. Sssush let Christina be…. how beautiful the words that one feels obliged to keep the silence to let you be… thank you I love it…

  3. A very moving and very well written piece of poetry. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved it. Thank you for sharing this with us.

    • Thank you ever so much Alastair!! Being among my first awesome and amazing WP friends up through today, you’ve seen all my changes and your support and encouragement always cheers me unceasingly! My words are fleeting and trying to play hide and seek with me lol…so I do what I can in the interim! I hope you’re having a great week! 🙂 Hugs! ~

      • You’re welcome Christina 🙂 You made me laugh. “My words are fleeting and playing hide and seek” I can just see you walking around, whilst behind a tree a word like “obfuscate” is poking it’s o around trying to hide, and on the other side of the path is the word “Gongoozle” covering it’s eyes saying “if I can’t see her she can’t see me

This week has had its ups and very downs, but I received good news about my son’s friend a couple of hours ago saying that he was out of his coma that they induced. So that was a relief.

BTW – I forgot to mention in my comment earlier – I LOVE the word “superfluity” it is awesome

  5. Beyond beautiful!
I felt the comfort of this & almost went to nap under my desk at work. 😉
    But – a lunch meeting awaits & I can’t miss a free meal!
    #XOXO #Love #Blessings #Smiles #FantabulousYOU

    • Thank you so very very much Rosy!!! It does make me happy that this could be comforting…very happy indeed! I suppose a free meal does make a meeting more tolerable lol! #FreeFoodIsGreat #NomNomNom #HugeHugs #Smiles #AwesomazingYOU #Love #XOXO

  6. Beautiful, Christina. You are so gifted….your poems create little spaces that allow me to close my eyes and fall into them. xo

    • Thank you so so much Patti for your amazing compliment! It is an honor to write as you so wondrously described…truly…the highest honor indeed!! I hope you are having a good week sweet friend!! Hugs & Blessings xo

  7. Yay for big words! You do excel in that area and this pleases me…I love the flash of flesh with you mentioning getting your toes out, hehe.

Your love and fascination with words are awesome and it is always a delight to be able to share in your creations. I think you do have a tumultuous ocean of words and thoughts and the way you express them is addicting (for evidence please see every comment above).

    • Big words, rare words, underused words…all kinds of words. Most certainly a plethora of choices! And I love them all…it is always such an awesome rush to share them…to hear they are liked…or loved–more so to hear they could be addicting! Thank you ever so much for sharing your amazing thoughts and praise, it is always an exquisite treat…

      • The biggest gift of words is that you share them with us and that is one one the reasons that I keep coming back, that and the free air guitar you give away from time to time.

        • I beg to differ…the biggest gift, I feel, is mine…from you and everyone who shares such amazing words so as to always surprise me and leave me smiling! For you though, I will continue with the free air guitar…if only you keep it a secret….for I fear everyone will then expect their turn as well then I shan’t have time to write…

  8. This particular poem resonates so with me Christina. I was standing out at a lookout point last evening at Sleeping Bear Dunes, with many others, hopeful for a stunning sunset, which was not to be. The cacophony swirling around me was unnerving and I wondered at the time how much we miss in nature when we feel the need to allow words to fill the silent spaces intended for our eyes only.

    • Oh LuAnn…your comment read like a poem. You are such a gifted writer dearest friend!! Truly! It is such an awesome feeling to know you could share in this feeling with me…that I could express it as such. I am sorry the sunset failed to be stunning….but you wrote of it in such a wondrous way I felt like I was standing there with you too. It is so good to be back and share words with you…yours all ways mean so very much to me! I hope you do get to see a spectacular sunset soonest, as well as have an amazing weekend! Huge hugs ❤ ❤ !!

      • You know, I feel like my muse has disappeared (lol)! I have done quite a bit of soul-searching, trying to determine what kind of writing I want to do, because what I am doing right now is not feeling quite right. It is difficult to explain because when you are an RVer as we are right now, this is the kind of blog that other RVers want to see, so they can find places to go to through your blog. It is also a good way to meet like-minded people out on the road, as it can get a bit lonely out here at times. I am not sure my RVer followers would appreciate the kind of writing I would like to do, more soulful, a bit more edgy perhaps…decisions, decisions. 🙂 Have a fabulous weekend my friend. 🙂

        • Perhaps your muse and mine are off somewhere having fun instead of helping us!! I feel mine has just downright abandoned me.

I do understand how you would be craving to write something different…loved your description…”more soulful…edgy”. I would love love love to read that!! Is there any way to keep maybe a journal to jot ideas for those types of posts…then, when you’re ready to have a different blog for them? I know that’s an awful lot of work, I was just hoping to be encouraging because you are such an amazing writer and I’m more than curious to read what you will create!!! Also, you wouldn’t have to post all the time so maybe it wouldn’t seem like pressure to keep two going…ooo I just want to encourage you to go for it!! 🙂

If you do create said second blog…please oh please let me know soonest! 😀 !! It’s too hot to be doing much of anything except thanking God for a/c lest He think me ungrateful and take it from us lol! I do hope your weekend is a really amazing one and that perhaps I could have planted a seed for future consideration? 😉 Huge hugs and all my love ❤ !!

          • I have given some thought to a second blog but I do worry about the time it would take. I would really like to do some writing on the subject of abuse and forgiveness, two topics I know much about. I have always felt that there should be a way for me to help others who may struggle with issues I did earlier in my life. So, you have given me cause to think about it once again. I will definitely let you know if I decide to move forward with it.

Now to another topic. If your muse has abandoned you and you can produce the poems you have this past week, then you are more brilliant that even I suspected! Hands down yours is the poetry blog I come to for my inspiration Christina. I sincerely mean that and I was hoping that this time away from WP was because you were working on that book of poetry. 🙂

We are in the line of the cold snap that is coming through the upper midwest. Our temps should be dropping into the 60’s in the next few days, and I am not complaining.

Hope you and your family are having a delightful weekend. Much love to you! 🙂

            • I really do hope you go for it with the second blog…it would be so amazing to read your writing and you being awesome you would definitely help people! I will be anticipatious!! 😀 !

Oh! You do say *the* most encouraging things to me. I have been truly struggling with my words for a while now. They usually come to me and if I let them they work out how they wish to be. It is so hard to explain! The first of my return was really difficult to make happen and the second (this one) was given a makeover from one a year or so ago. You do truly encourage me so very much!! I know I’ve mentioned working on a book….sort of caught in some logistics for it, but my mind is working away on it when it can!! I really am so hopeful it will be this year…really hopeful!

I am very glad it’s cool where you are…today’s 103 is a foreshadowing of a few days from now where 112 is forecasted….waaay too hot for this girl!! Sending so much love to you and some more on top!! ❤ !! ~
