Epiphany…

I see how different words are bestowed with a sublime radiance of varying hues of color…
Emotional gradation…

΅〜 ❁ 〜΅

I observe my palette of words very carefully…
One mustn’t rush…

΅〜 ❁ 〜΅

Slowly I begin to paint…first one then another…
I step back and look at the revealing of this new painting…
This creation of words blending into something wondrous…
Something hitherto unknown…

~
Time passes…

΅〜 ❁ 〜΅

I look again…
I close my eyes…

΅〜 ❁ 〜΅

I feel the tumultuous gathering…
The machinations of my senses coalescing into words…

΅〜 ❁ 〜΅

Their birth a beautiful rendition of everything combining at once…
As if time has no meaning here…
Past, present, future collide into my Phantasmagoric Dreamscape…
Joining…rejoining…connecting…
Locking together as though they already know how they are to combine…
As if they each have their own purpose, thought, desire…
To be seen, read, understood…

΅〜 ೋღ ❁ ღೋ 〜΅

Epiphany…
Am I their painter…
Or are they mine?

  1. Funny I should find this, because I have been working on giving one of my characters a voice. I’ve been thinking about ‘words’ so much lately, thank you. Well thank the 2018 you anyway, and hopefully she will thank the 2020 you. This past-present-future trichotomy always messes me up. Maybe I’m stuck in what Vonnegut called a “chronosynclasticinfundibula.”

    • Speaking of words, that’s a rather spectacular one by Vonnegut! I’m happy this one spoke to you. 🙂 I’ve often found the words guiding me more than I do them. As the Doctor would say ‘time wimey’. Sorry, huge Doctor Who fan here! 🙂

  2. For a critique of the creative issues related to words see “Dark Shapes Behind You” on my blog, https://mmpmagicmodernizationproject.com/dark-shapes-behind-you/

Don’t worry, I’m not gonna troll you or keep bothering you. It’s hot here, I’m bored, and I have nobody else to talk to.
I am old, and I love the older Doctor Whos, Pertwee especially, and Baker. (I don’t care much for modern popular music) The Doctor Who series since 2005 doesn’t resonate with me. There was an arc written by Douglas Adams that I’m gonna have to find again.

    • Today’s a bit manic with commitments but I’ll definitely check out your posts soon! 🙂 I suppose that’s the beauty of Dr Who, the first Dr one watches is typically the fav. I didn’t start watching till the 10th Dr so he’s my favorite. I have seen many of the older episodes though and enjoyed them too! 🙂
