Christina, You and your children have had a very sad time. I wish you much happiness for the future. The words ‘As if from nowhere suddenly you were there. You knew me better than I know myself’. I recognized you even though you were unknown.’ Who wrote these words, and are they part of a longer poem?

That’s a good question!!! 🙂 Hmmm….well writing has been a very good thing for me…getting a lot of the “ick” out. These past two years have been crazy…literally!
After 17 years of marriage and being a stay at home mom…losing my husband sort of took my purpose and forced me to the provider role. His parents weren’t exactly supportive….imagine the exact opposite and then add worse.
Now…I’m remembering who I was before I was married and putting those pieces together with me now….and feeling ready to move forward. I stll have bad days…but more and more better ones as each new day comes.
Clear as mud? 😛

survival is crazy, glad you are hanging in there 🙂 Sorry to hear you are not getting adequate support from the inlaws, I’m sure they can be a big pain in the rear end, even when they think they are being helpful…lol
Remembering who you were before you were married…hmmm….sounds like you are getting younger! good for you 🙂 but do you have the energy level of when you were single? lol
Your explanation was very good, its more like, clear as a dirty window. Just need some servicing and cleaning, and it will be good as new 🙂

LOL clear as a dirty window! Gonna use that sometime! Actually, sadly my ex-in-laws are not firing on all their cylinders (to put it nicely). Some day I’ll tell the story, you can have popcorn…be careful not to choke on it though! I won’t be held responsible for that LOL! 😉

I wish I could regale you with colorful antics and senior moments….but I cannot. Sadly, when I suggested choking on your popcorn…I was speaking of undeniable cruelty at the worst of all times…from people who just lost it….literally.
That being said….because I do so adore laughter and your lightening quick wit…I will let that one go for awhile and stick to the humorous antics of life at the present! 😀
P.S My eldest daughter told me I shouldn’t play World of Warcraft….she said I would get to addicted haha :p

Dear Christina,
A solid and sound thank you for visiting and deciding to follow. I always appreciate a new and friendly face. I’ve also had a look through some of your poetry and I think I’ll need to visit more often. For starting up so recently, it seems you’ve been quite prolific.
I have a sort of love-hate relationship with quotes. They’re nice, to draw attention to a person’s words, but dangerous in that they aren’t your words; it’s lovely to read that for the most part you have a quote and then a work of your own underneath. A quote alone- if I were ever to put one down- would feel naked to me. That IS just me, though. I’m sure there are plenty of people out there who don’t feel anything wrong with it at all.
I mostly dropped by to thank you. I don’t get too much traffic- and honestly I can’t say I’m bitter about it or necessarily want more of it. It’s just how it is.
I see an adventure ahead for you indeed, should you care to take those steps out. It looks like that’s where you’re headed, and maybe I’ll flit by once in a while to see where you go. ❤ I can't promise I'll stay. I'm fickle, after all. But your words have an energy to them that I find myself drawn to. If I must flit about like a moth, like a moth I'll be drawn back to your flame, as I am to all sources of light and heat.
I hope to learn more about you.
<3s,
Eris

Eris, thank you so much for sharing your kind thoughts and praise….I really really liked your metaphor of a moth to light and flame. I’m honored (especially after reading your work) that you would think so highly of mine. As for being prolific, I guess I sort of opened the floodgates… I just started writing poetry and now it just spills out 🙂
I have begun reading a lot of your work and am just addicted now. Seriously…you have the wonderful ability to craft words in such an intriguing way…will definitely draw me back! 🙂
I hope to see you around here also….I would like to know more about you too 🙂

venice, rome and maybe athens are very good choices! strictly speaking, i’m not really a “traveler.” Most of my travels are work-related so I really haven’t been to most of THE places I really want to go to. and yeah, venice is at the very top of that list too. my american boss, who has traveled many times to venice (work-related) has made me drool on many occasions about his venice experiences. how i wish, he’d send me next time instead and let me stay for a week 😉 he gave me a nice vespa snowball though.
