Divine Torment…

DIvine Torment 1

΅〜 ೋღ ღೋ     〜΅

Can you feel my presence?

I can feel yours…

Enticing me…

΅〜 〜΅

Sometimes you’re like a soft breeze…

A delicate whisper…

Gentle and knowing…

Beckoning me…

Sometimes you’re like waves crashing…

washing over me…through me…intoxicating me…

΅〜 〜΅

Can you feel it?

That illusory electric spark…

Magnetic…

Addictive…

Taunting…

Seductive…

Divine torment…

΅〜 ೋღ ♥ ღೋ     〜΅

Divine Torment

΅〜 ೋღ ♥ ღೋ     〜΅

You want me?

Come find me…

Make up your mind.

╰⊰ This poem (three of four that went together) was originally posted back in January 2013. For more information please see this post which explains why I’m sharing these again. This series of poems marked a pivotal  transition in my writing which shortly thereafter became known as …my “Dreamscape⊱╮

  1. The reflective beauty of this poem is superlative. Looking at someone, attempting to infiltrate their mind and divine their innermost thoughts. The fact that this was one of the poems that marked your poetic prowess soaring to celestial heights

I love this short jaunt down memory lane. Whether an older poem, or a newer one, you show off your literary finesse and why you attract the readers that you do.

I look forward to the finale of Dreamscape

    • Thank you so very very much Alastair! Your descriptions are so truly beautiful along with your generous praise…well…I’m so honored and happy you loved this! 🙂 Ah, but here is the bestest part….my Dreamscape didn’t end with the fourth of this series…rather, it was birthed from them…so it continues on. So much left to explore, so much still hitherto unknown to me. My greatest hope is that they are as enjoyed as I enjoyed creating them! Thank you again, so so much for sharing this journey with me! 🙂

      • That made my eyes sparkle 😀 You are right, there is so much to explore, so many feelings, so many thoughts, so many moments. It is a pleasure to share your journey. After all, it was you who released my own poetic muse (which seems to be lost at the moment). Your creations are enjoyed by many and they in turn, show off your gift. I will rephrase my closing comment from my last set of words:
I look forward to the instalment of Dreamscape

        • It is truly an honor to have been a part of your poetic journey. As for it being presently lost, well I think that happens to us all…hence my recent journey to the past. It was attempt to ignite my own muse! 😉 You are awesome to be so generous with both your praise and your support…both of which I appreciate more than I can verbalize. That is an epic last line and one, I hope, to be able to make happen soonest! 🙂

              • Thank you 🙂 I did wake up during the night and write a poem and then went back to sleep again. It was the rolling hills and mountains that did it I think. I will have to tidy it up a bit, but it worked 😀

                Have a great weekend Christina.

  2. The way you write takes my breath away… it has so much feeling that I sit here many miles away and can hear you reciting these words… to whomever it is that you write them… but the words are so exquisite… the thoughts so intense that I get shivers down my spine… I love your blog…

  3. I love the solitudinious feel to this one, although it isn’t quite as solitary as one may believe. This reminds me of a scene in The Silmarillion which takes place by the sea. I do enjoy that your words are so haunting and complex in their own right yet manage to remind me of other scenes that I have come across.

As I have said before, yours are the words that keep on giving. Your versatility is something that I have long been impressed with, you can conjure up magic from all you write. The last stanza is fascinating in itself.

    • I always do love your insightful thoughts on everything…and especially in this case with my words. It has long fascinated me how each person interprets poems, or any writing for that matter, in such various ways. Thank you ever so much for your generous praise…saying I can conjure magic from writing is most certainly icing on the proverbial cake and makes me more than a bit bewildered while simultaneously happy if I have indeed done so…

      • I’m with you on the wonders of the human mind and how we all see things differently and uniquely. It almost sounds like a blog post waiting to be written (insert significant nod in your direction). My praise isn’t generous, only true and my honest opinion, you are capable of such wonderful pieces.

        • I very much liked your ‘significant nod in my direction’…I shall indeed ruminate on that thought with the highest hopes of igniting my words. I am in need of the Muse’s inspirational assistance at present. Your praise is very generous to me…even more so with your reiteration of same!
