Decadence In The Dark…

decadence in the dark

΅〜 ೋღ  ღೋ     〜΅

I feel your gaze…a soft caress…
I see you between the pale light of the rising moon and deep shadows…
There and not there..
Waiting…

΅〜 ೋღ ღೋ     〜΅

Come find me…
Dance this subtly surreal dance with me…
Decadence in the dark…

΅〜 ೋღ ღೋ     〜΅

Let us stay in the hidden peripheral..
I, in the trance of twilight’s tempestuous temptation…
You, on the edge of everything and nothing…
There… not there…

΅〜 ೋღ ღೋ     〜΅

  Come find me…

  Take my hand…

 Rescue me…

〜 This poem (two of four that went together) was originally published back in January 2013. For more information please see this post which explains why I’m sharing these again. This series of poems marked a pivotal  transition in my writing which shortly thereafter became known as …my “Dreamscape” 〜

  1. Your poetry is like a fine wine. It improves with age. I really liked it first time around, and I love it more this time. I re-read it four times. And I now see where the three words that have been haunting me for ages came from. Three words just come into my mind, unbidden. “Twilight’s Tempestuous Temptation”. You know what I mean? When you are doing something and words just spring into your mind and you wonder where they come from, like words from a song. If a piece of poetry can do that, then it means it is something special.

Still fighting the temptation to go back and reread the other poems in the series 😉

    • Such a beautiful compliment sweet friend, thank you so so very much!! I do know what you mean… and I’m honored my words could have such staying power as you so wondrously shared! I do so very much appreciate your steadfast support and encouragement…it means the world to me. Lol…it’s kind of fun keeping you in suspense, though you could always look back haha! I do hope you will wait though! 😉 Sending wishes for a happy week ahead 🙂

      • I will wait for all four to be posted so I can appreciate them again 🙂 It is fun reliving these, and I think it is a fantastic idea, showing off some of your fantastic work, in a form of a gallery for your poetry. Looking forward to the next instalment 🙂

  2. Your choice of accompanying photo never ceases to impress and draw me into your creation, not that I am attempting to heap more pressure on you or anything…I have always said you have good taste.

I love the infusion of mysterious, everything seems on the cusp, of knowing, of day turning into night…things waiting be revealed a person waiting once again to be found.

The connotations as ever are many and I can’t help but think that there are many stories that can be started from this point and hopefully will be (big blatant hint that I am not bothering to disguise).

My FB profile is pretty dismal as I’m quite literally never there, though I am active on my FB Page…which I like to think of as a more daily interaction with my fellow blog friends! I like to share quotes and thoughts, it’s where my posts go…I’d love to see you over there 😀 !!

  4. I must agree with Alastair, your words are like a fine wine, better with age, more delicious with each reading. I love the mystery around your words, provocative and demure in the same breath. I do not know how you do this but it is simply brilliant! 🙂
