Whisper Love….

my ghosts are gaining on me Princess-of-Shadows deviant art

Softly spoken…
Evocative words…
My drug of choice…
Intoxicate me with your whispered touch…
Make the intangible…visceral…
Tracing my soul…my body… with each spoken affirmation of your love…your desire…
Transcendence via provocative susurrus…

΅〜 ೋღ ღೋ     〜΅

Evocative exigency…
Envelope me with the warmth of your breath…
Surrounding…
Pervading….
Intoxicating…

΅〜 ೋღ ღೋ     〜΅

Yes please…
Whisper love…

Tell me your secrets…
Share your soul with mine…
Consummate this love…
Unlock me…

  2. I find these ellipsis intoxicating… Hinting, suggesting, evoking… There is just room enough to fill the blanks in my mind…

I do love this one Christina.. Come to think I don’t think I’ve dropped by for a while…let me peruse the archives.

  3. That is so beautiful, so sensual, so unique. I like the fact that two of the words I had to look up the definition for. I love having to do that. Your writing style is fantastic and so you.

This is a brilliant poem that has so much in it. True magnificence.

  7. My favourite line from this, your latest wonderfully voluptuous word amalgamation is, possibly surprisingly ‘Yes Please…’. I love that, like there is somehow an actual choice to accept this rather than a compunction.

‘Whispered touch’ is also another excellent phrase, so delicate and gentle yet there is the sense of a love, a lust reigned in but on the edge of exploding out and consuming two people. It’s almost too wild with its understatedness, if that makes sense.

I think the key(!) to this poem is the sheer intimacy that is at the centre of all the wonderful things in life, the knowing and sharing, the heart of all good things come from this and has put a right big smile upon this lopsided visage of mine.

I love your accompanying photo as well, it’s very sparse but with the woman a black (a pattern) and the great fiery ball in the sky makes the connection to what you write about more blatant. xxxxxx

    • Ah, my dearest sir you do render me quite incapable of fully expressing my thankfulness and appreciation for this more than awesomely insightful and completely captivating comment of yours. I do like that…word amalgamation. Yes, I like that very very much! I am over the moon you enjoyed this and also the photo. I do tend to have a theme with them don’t I? hehe 😉 xxxxxx

      • ‘Over the moon’, topical as we watched the red moon together earlier! I like that only British people, football players and managers use that and now your good self…the opposite to get into conversation is ‘sick as a parrot’!

Themes are great, your reading and writing themes are very diverse but also convergent which is pleasing to mine eye (and ear)…xxxxxx

        • LOL I would be one of the few to use that phrase, but it is a grand one at any rate! Not sure I’m a fan of the ‘parrot’ one haha. I am always well-pleased when you approve of my latest writing or reading choice…you’re the bestest to keep my TBR pile ever growing!! xxxxxx

    • Thank you, so very very much Mike! It is always an honor to know you’ve enjoyed what I’ve written! Perhaps I am confused with the language between our countries…could you please elaborate on your suggestion?

      • Ah! The vernacular – shooting-up = using drugs. “drug of choice…intoxicate”? No? (probably what my kids call a “dadjoke” with an accompanying sigh) 🙂

        • LOL! That’s what I thought it meant, just wanted clarification! 🙂 If you mean metaphorically with words…then yes…let’s!! 😉

  12. You have once again rendered me speechless! I love each and every line but this one in particular, “intoxicate me with your whispered touch”. I think the temperature in our RV has just gone up a few notches, 😉 which isn’t bad as it is cold and rainy here today. Seriously Christina, this is brilliant!
