She closes her eyes to watch the parade of allemande memories dance
through her mind…as if choreographed…
Only these memories are of him and her…
Desire mixed with love…
Creating a symphony out of each detail of their time together…

His eyes imprinted in her mind…
So full of adoration and his love for her…
His gaze a silent sonnet…
 Expressing devotion through laconic libretto of prose…

His caress forever fixed as an indelible mark upon her senses…
Heightening them with only a thought…
Lingering coalescence of touch resonates…

His voice the song in her heart…
Magical melody…
Soothing while caressing her with each word…
Such divine elegance…

This dance of love keeping synchronous rhythm…
 Every step…every breath…every heartbeat shared….
Building the chorus of their song…
Keeping time…once elusive…now at their leisure…

Each memory adding to the one before…
As it is being composed with each new moment…
Amplifying its crescendo…

  2. Divine elegance indeed. Gossamer wording gives a delicate tone while permitting agility in the voice…a lacelike quality maybe. The aural qualities are a huge part of it too. I am inordinately impressed with this piece – well done.

  4. You’re spoiling us with your posts 😀 I am so glad that you are posting more often and sharing your skill with words. You have such a talent and I am happy it is not going to waste. I always wonder how you come up with the title of these. It always explains your poetry piece to a tee.

    This piece is so melodic with its tale that it fairly sings to you. The memories of love playing its tunes to keep it alive in the heart and the mind. The two together being musical perfection in a fortissimo dance of affection and tenderness.creating a euphonious waltz that sings to those with range and bringing smiles to the faces of all that see it.

  11. ‘His gaze a silent sonnet’ what a wonderful line, the depth of expression from both you and the mister in the poem are wonderfully provocative. I also liked your repetition of the word dance, reminding us that it is a dance and that the steps are there for us to take and also freestyle whenever possible.

    I love the literal and metaphorical voices combining to form a symphonic crescendo, it is a clever form to take but then that is what love is, a collection of impulses from every which way swirling around in an epic vortex that is dangerously close, in a good way, to be out of control…or in control depending on which way you look at it.

    I like your recent mixing up or verbose and succinct poems, it makes for an interesting time when I pop over, not knowing what to expect…it maketh Ste happy. xxxxxx

    • Thank you ever so much…I am well pleased you had a line that stood out more than the others. As ever, I am fascinated by the variances of interpretation each poem brings. ‘Symphonic crescendo’ is a fantastic phrase…as is ‘epic vortex’…

      I am always happy to hear your thoughts and the intriguing sojourns they take. Also, to put names to the different styles I’ve written in of late. I guess I am rather ‘freestyle’ in my writing…non-conformist that I am. It does make me glad that you enjoy the changes of structure and that those could make you happy. xxxxxx

  13. nicely done….you’ve got some vocab behind ya since ya got edu behind ya. the piece….it sounds like it should be simple to obtain, but it’s not for sure. the romantic interlude certainly creates the spice of this dream’s symphony.
