Although you are appealing to people to see the better part of themselves throughout their struggles, I initially read this as though you were looking in a mirror as it almost seems like a piece to yourself.
I love the side of you that mixes things up as you have been recently, giving us all two fold reading and playing with perspectives. If this is not an encouragement to bloggers everywhere to write about themselves then I don’t know what is.
There is a poignant form running through this piece, a gentle melancholy which is so evocative of moments past for all of us in varying degrees. I wonder at your thoughts, you have such depth and feeling to your poems. The joy is that you share them. That makes me right happy. xxxxxx

That is most certainly such an awesome compliment…so much so…I find it hard to fathom the depth of it….that you would equate these words to me. I believe “gobsmacked” is the term used over on your side of the pond. It makes me exceedingly happy to hear your thoughts that I have been able to harness the words to express perspectives in such a varied manner of late.
That is an intriguing, compelling challenge concept….look in the mirror and write what you see. I wouldn’t be brave enough to share haha, as I am quite sure most wouldn’t…still a most fascinating idea….

I loved this one… Once again, there are so many layers in your poem, but I connect it overall with discovery and redemption,
Be thta as it may, love is always a hidden treasure.
My favorite stanza is the fourth one… I have found these verses truly beautiful:

Oooo yes please! I’ve only recently discovered Murakami and the quote was taken from the only of his books that I have read (so far)… 1Q84. It is an epic book, being three books in one, but I loved it so much I read it in three weeks! 🙂

It is sometimes amazing what we can see when we look deep enough – and sometimes terrifying (one of the reasons I have attempted to stop)
I think that when moments cause inspiration like this to allow poetry like yours to come into being, then those moments can’t be all bad (if they were bad to start with – they might have been good ones hehe)

When I first read this Christina, I immediately related to looking in the mirror at myself and felt that you may be speaking to yourself, but as I read on there was the distinct feeling that you were writing this to someone who had completely captivated you, whose allure cannot be denied.
