Melody of Silence…

΅〜  ೋ ೋ 〜΅

Reflections of silence resonate…
Dissonant deliberation…
Among the ethereal scintilla…
Echoes speak in deafening taciturnity…
Melody of Silence…

  ΅〜 〜΅

Through the maze of countless corridors…
Myriad of memories…
A forest of dreams…of hopes…
Therein lies my hidden sanctuary…
Dormant…
Awaiting its incendiary denouement…

΅〜 〜΅

Ephemeral illumination…
Fragments of time reminisce…
Whispering in the familiar shadows…
 Euphony…

  2. I love this for two reasons –
    1) I had to look up several of the words – that is always fantastic when I do that with one of your poems. It means I am learning something new, and these words are always perfectly descriptive.

    2) I love the emotion in this. The sadness of silence. The longing for noise. This is the old saying “The silence is deafening”

I would love to see a yang poem if this one is yin.

    • I am so glad you loved this one! It does make me happy to share words! There can be sadness in silence…simultaneously, it provides time for thoughts to work themselves out…or tie your brain in a knot trying to work themselves out lol.

Hmmm….yang to the yin….I will definitely let that intriguing thought simmer and see what happens! 😉

  3. There it is, that conjuring of the fantastical Dreamscape atmosphere that enamours me so…and great picture whilst I am about it. Dark in all senses of the world but with a seductively tempting air.

Today’s poem was a workout for the mind with a lot of great words, some of which I haven’t come across in a long time and had to check the dictionary definition to make sure I appreciated all the nuances that you were including.

The mind is a wonderful and whimsical place and can also be the other but there is always time for change, for hope, for newness and for recollection which is of course the greatest gift…I find.

I absolutely love your last line and I think it is a wonderful and perfectly formed. conclusion and one I had to look up… it’s great when you teach me stuff. xxxxxx

    • I do love your descriptions of my words!! Oh yes…I do! I am happy and smiling that you enjoyed this one…also that I could not only remind you of words previously encountered…but share a new one as well.

Indeed…the mind is and probably will remain for some time to come, an enigma. Recollection is most definitely a supremely awesome gift….one that unceasingly gives.

Yay for the last line! I was in deliberation over that one for a bit…then decided to just let it be. Words usually dictate to me where they wish to be placed. Your thoughts are all ways cherished…ever so much… xxxxxx

      • You chose your last line perfectly my dear. It is good to know that words are in safe hands when you have to handle them yourself, I think the trick is to make sure you have warm hands. xxxxxx

  6. Hi Christina 😀

A brilliant poem. I understood every word …..

    ….. NOT !!!!!

My dictionary has had a heart attack and will have a lovely cremation on my log burner in the morning. 😉

I have realised that this poem has reduced my evolutionary step to two levels below Neanderthal. Time to take my pet T-Rex for walkies !! 😉

Love and hugs. Ralph xox 😀

I would never wish for you to feel as though you have stepped down the evolutionary ladder. Rather….that you are epically awesome and make me smile and so I say you are exempt from any such feeling now or at any time in the future! Now…on to the most important part….You have a T-Rex named StarTrex?!? You’re my hero! 😉 Love and Hugs xoxo

  10. As I read this (also having to look up a word or two) I found myself thinking that this would be a beautiful poem for you to read aloud. I heard your voice in my head take over the reading at that point, which was quite lovely. Loved all the words but these lines really struck a chord with me…”therein lies my hidden sanctuary, dormant, awaiting its incendiary denouement”. Fabulous my friend! 🙂

I am happy and smiling that you enjoyed this poem!! You’re the bestest and I do so cherish you dearest friend!!! Huge Hugs ~
